                          Enhance Guest Experience

NEW YORK, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- LG Electronics' in-room HDTVs,
digital signage solutions and technology innovations entertain and inform
hotel and restaurant guests. Delivering a flexible, high-quality media
experience throughout the hotel environment, these technologies were
featured at the 2007 International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show (Booth
#3006).

"Hoteliers are looking for a complete solution that includes digital
displays, multimedia offerings and flexible digital signage solutions to
differentiate their properties and enhance the guest experience. As the
leading flat-panel provider to hospitality industries, LG delivers just
that with our integrated line of products that engages guests while
providing hotel operators a secure, comprehensive system that's easy to
manage," said Ron Snaidauf, vice president, Commercial Products, LG
Electronics USA, Inc.

    ADVANCEMENTS IN-ROOM GUESTROOM TECHNOLOGY
LG's broad line of lodging flat-panel TVs range in size from 20- to 50-
inches, and highlight innovative, integrated technology solutions for
today's hoteliers. At the show, LG showcased both LCD (LC7DC, LC5DC and
LX5DC series) and plasma 42PX8DC, PC5DC series) displays developed
specifically for the lodging industry. The company also unveiled the new
42-inch Full HD 1080p LCD (42LB5DC) set and the 32-inch EDTV plasma
(32PC5DVC) set. (See separate press release.)

LG is the first in the industry to include the industry-standard Pro:
Idiom(TM) digital rights management (DRM) system, demonstrating that the
robust and highly secure technology can help to assure the rapid, broad
deployment of HDTV and other high-value digital content. This industry-
standard DRM solution was designed to be the most cost-effective solution
for industries that use satellite-delivered pay TV content or
video-on-demand (VOD) to protect digital video and audio content.

In addition, LG delivers the industry's first HDTVs with built-in
MPEG-4 H.264 decoding technology for displaying satellite-delivered
high-definition (HD) content. Integrated MPEG4 technology increases the
number of HD channels, providing guests with more entertainment options.

LG also highlighted its unique Auto-Sensing Remote Jack Packs (RJPs)
that make it easy for guests to charge and/or connect devices such as
laptop PCs, portable DVD and CD players, and digital music players, to the
LG HDTV in their guestroom. The RJPs unique, slim design eliminates
cable-clutter and elevates guest satisfaction with the in-room multimedia
experience. Hotel operators can choose from seven stylish RJP designs, four
of which (RJP-110F, RJP-110WBR, RJP-110S, RJP-101M) were on display at the
New York show.

    BEYOND HOTEL GUESTROOMS
Appetites are growing in the hospitality and lodging industry -- and
not just for food. There is an increased demand for technology solutions to
engage guests in public areas from hotel lobbies to restaurants and bars.
LG Electronics meets that demand with digital signage solutions that
deliver brilliant picture clarity and superior contrast in a compact and
stylish package.

LG's 42-inch LCD monitor (M4210C-BA) is optimized for digital signage
applications and its IP-Cast(TM) ready, Internet Protocol (IP) technology,
provides the hospitality industry with new options for customer
interaction. Capable of portrait (vertical) or landscape (horizontal)
orientation, this screen has a narrow 29mm bezel which enhances its use in
4x4 video wall applications.

In addition, LG's new IP-Cast(TM) technology makes it possible for
hotels to deliver content to multiple screens from a centralized operations
center. The combination of advanced technology, high-definition displays,
and networking technology from LG allows the hotel, restaurant and other
public space operators to use digital signage and attention-grabbing
content to communicate with guests in creative and previously unexplored
ways.
